‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ – Wade’s MCU Debut Looks F’ing Awesome
Fans worried that being part of the MCU would force the Merc to tone down, no need. Deadpool & Wolverine keeps The Mouth.
On screen, Wolverine has experienced a lot—fighting in nearly every major US war, undergoing experimentation at the hands of a secret organization, and putting up with Scott Summers, all while sporting a questionable haircut. Now, he’s having to travel through time and the multiverse to team up with fellow super healer Deadpool to save the world.
The third chapter has an R-rating, a first for Marvel Studios. Its first full-length trailer lets you know it with plenty of f-bombs and a charming sense of humor. It’s also got a ton of easter eggs MCU fans will recognize.
During production, writer Rhett Reese talked about working with Disney and Marvel…
“It’s been nothing but, ‘how can we help you?’ ‘What from our universe would you like to use? How, how can we make your life easy?’ And we’re gonna let Deadpool be Deadpool. We’re not… this is not going to be the Disney-fied ‘Deadpool.’ So they’re awesome, and now it’s up to us to come through and justify that faith.”

That has certainly panned out with the inclusion of everything from the TVA to Ant-Man’s dead head and the 20th Century Fox logo in ruins. I’m sure there will be more in the full cut.
