Marvel: Crisis Protocol – Five Villains That Need Ultimate Encounters
Marvel Comics has a wide cast of Villains with world/universe ending plans. Here’s the top ones we want in Marvel: Crisis Protocol!
While Marvel: Crisis Protocol does have some pretty epic Ultimate Encounters, there’s still quite a few baddies out there that haven’t made the jump to the tabletop. These could easily be Ultimate Encounters themselves — perfect for narrative style events or one-off challenges. However, they could be scaled down so that players could add them to their roster. Well…most of them anyhow. Here’s five villains we’d LOVE to see in Marvel: Crisis Protocol!
Galactus
I don’t think I need to go into this one too much. Galactus has been in a few of our lists before. The World Eater would be an Ultimate Encounter for sure and would likely be the largest model AMG would make. For the record, I’m okay with this. It’s just a huge kit begging to be made. And who wouldn’t want to throw down with their toughest Crisis Squad against Galactus!?
Kang The Conqueror
Look, I know the real world plans for the Marvel Cinematic Universe have shifted. Kang was slated to be the next big bad and I had hoped we’d see a miniature version of him Marvel: Crisis Protocol. I still think that’s an option because the character himself has had such a HUGE impact on the comics over the years. That’s mostly due to timey-wimey shenanigans though. Independent of the movies, Kang would still be a great villain to add and could be an Ultimate Encounter — and setup more Avengers enemies to fight!
Doctor Doom
I almost skipped Doctor Doom for this list because I’ve mentioned him before. But if I can name drop Galactus again, then we’re calling in Doctor Doom! Arch-Enemy of Reed Richards and constant antagonist of the Fantastic Four, Doom is also a big enough baddie to rival tech wizards like Tony Stark and actual wizards like Dr. Strange. I think Doom could easily be an Ultimate Encounter but really I just hope we get him in the game. Maybe with a ton of Doom bots, too?
Onslaught
Go big or go home, right? Onslaught took down the Marvel universe once and it cause an entire Heroes Reborn event. If this entity can do that then I could easily see Crisis Teams needing to step up to take him on in an Ultimate Encounter. I just hope it doesn’t end up causing the MCP universe to experience the same fate as the comic one…
The Dark Phoenix
Jean Grey is a hero. So when she does the heel turn and becomes The Dark Phoenix, drunk with power, she’s downright terrifying. She’s so dangerous that the Shi’ar, Kree, and shifty Skrulls gather to decide to take her down. If that’s not power worthy of an Ultimate Encounter, then I don’t know what else would be! Besides, this would be an amazing miniature for AMG to sculpt and produce. I just hope we get one with the crazy flame-bird wings.
I promise the next list of villains will be all new ones I haven’t mentioned before. But these are truly the Ultimate Encounters I want to see!
