Vermintide 2 is getting a surprise new free update tomorrow. Titled Vermintide 2: A Parting of the Waves, the new update will take players to a stormy new map as the Karak Azgaraz adventure concludes. How will it play out? Will you be able to fend off a rising tide, both metaphorically and literally?

Vermintide 2: A Parting of the Waves concludes the Karak Azgaraz adventure in Vermintide 2. As Fatshark posted on their website:
A free new update is coming to PC on April 11, containing a new map: the conclusion of the Karak Azgaraz storyline! This fourth, final map is not a remaster of a Vermintide 1 mission, but a brand new, stormy mission!
Those who have followed Lohner’s Chronicles recently might already know, but our Heroes are not on the best of terms right now. After Sienna picked up Necromancy and started raising the dead to fight the onslaught of Skaven and Chaos better, things have been… tense. Distrust slowly surged amongst our heroes. Today, the Ubersreik Five are on the verge of falling apart.
But when a group seems destined to fall apart, it’s important to remember the important things in life. Killing rats. This is why the Ubersreik Five have set sail, chasing after fleeing Skaven ships to kill rats scurrying to the shadows of a whaling village as a massive storm gathers all around.
This adventure has new dangers. Not just mistrust and deceit, or even just the rain and storms that will beset you all on the new map. There’s a brand new enemy type being debuted in this update. Get ready to face down a powerful new Chaos Warrior armed with a shield and mace, who will take many blows to fell.
After the update debuts, the Chaos Warrior with Shield will appear on all maps with Rotbloods present.
