Games Workshop Rumor Engine: Flame ON!
I see a mighty flame headed to our future Warhammer tabletop, but what exactly is bringing the heat?
Welcome to another Tuesday Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. We’ve got a rather interesting snippet of something special. But before we get into what it could be you should probably have a look for yourself.
“Sure, you could come up with all sorts of theories about what is carrying the torch if you like. Maybe you think it doesn’t have enough skulls to be Warhammer 40,000, but perhaps it’s just part of a streamlined new hat for the Sisters of Battle?”
Oh my goodness, if there’s anything that almost every faction in Warhammer loves to do – its set things on fire. So this could take a while. We have clearly wooden handle, and a old-timey iron cage around the flame, so that rules out any ultra high tech factions like T’au, or clearly non-fire folks like Idoneth Deepkin.
Sisters of Battle
This is the easy pick, but I don’t think it’s right. Sure the Sororitas haven’t found a Heretic they think would do better withing a flaming accessory, but something about it seems off for their factino aesthetic. The Sororitas take a little more craftmenship in their braziers, and a fire atop a stick simply won’t do.
Cities of Sigmar
I think this is the more likely choice. The mortal followers os Sigmar love a good fire, and just dont have the time to be out there crafting something fancy for every occasion you need to set some one on fire.
Skaven
The wildcard choice. We do know hte ratmen love a good fire, but it’s usually burning warpstone. That said, the image is in black and white, so it could be flaming green. Still, the energy seems a little off for Warpstone, so I’m erring towards something different.
