Games Workshop Rumor Engine: Where Are They Now – May 2023 Edition
We’re halfway through the month of May. It’s time to check out what happened to these Rumor Engines from last year!
It’s always fun to see where the Rumor Engines ended up from last year. Last May was a big month because we actually had five Rumor Engines that year. So, let’s see how they turned out.
Rumor Engine May 2, 2023 ‘Patchwork Cape’
Status: Solved
This gruesome cape came from the Night Lords Nemesis Claw Kill Team Warband kit.
Rumor Engine May 9, 2023 – ‘Dragons and Dinosaurs’
Status: Solved
This tail ended up being part of the Kroot release wave — particularly from the Kroot Lone Spear.
Rumor Engine May 16, 2023 ‘Firing Line’
Status: Unsolved
We’re still waiting for this one to be revealed by Games Workshop. I still think it looks like some sort of Imperial Fortification with the sandbags backed up to some concrete. We’ve seen GW get pretty creative with the Astra Militarum artillery. Guess we’ll have to wait to see what this one turns out to be until later…
Rumor Engine May 23, 2023 – A Chaos Star Is Born
Status: Solved
While the Chaos star is pretty ubiquitous in the Warhammer range, this particular one came from the same Night Lords Nemesis Claw Warband for Kill Team.
Rumor Engine May 30, 2023 – In Da Club?
Status: Solved
Once again that spear tip belonged to the Lone Spear from the Kroot releases. You can even see the paint job and how it matches the grey-scale image.
Well, that’s everything from last May. We’ve still got at least one mystery on our hands. Does anyone want to take a stab at what the remaining Rumor Engine image could be? Do you think we’ll get a big reveal for it this weekend?
