Here’s a creepy crawly Warhammer 40K 10th Edition list that is based off of the Soulforged Warpack detachment from Codex: Chaos Space Marines. It brings all the ‘eavy Metal.

Goatboy here again and you know how I love Daemon engines.  So of course I have to build a list that is based off of the Soulforged Warpack detachment from the Chaos Space Marines book.  I don’t think I will add Vashtor to the list because while he is better he is not needed to get this thing humming along.  With that let’s get to brewing.

Why do you want to play the Soulforged Warpack?  Well, you like Daemon Engines, vehicles, and extremely high levels of damage. This army can be very brutal to exposed enemies with so many efficient ways to do more damage.  The ability to get an extra style pact off of a Dark Pact role is very powerful  We are using it in this list as a way to get +1 to wound as well as some extra stacks with the Warlord carrying a powerful piece of wargear.  It is a pretty simple list and I utilize a bit of the brawler-bully mechanics from the other parts of CSM to allow my army to have a bit more room to shoot things and hopefully not stay locked up in whatever 40K Jail my opponent throws at me.

CSM ‘Metal Creepy Crawlies’ Tactics

The three Forgefiends are set up to hold back, throw out a ton of firepower, and utilize its different parts to hurt the enemy.  The Vindicator is there to get possessed by a Daemon named Frank the Tank and become part of the party.  The Venomcrawlers are also around to be cheap little speed bumps who can utilize both sides of the Dark Pact efficiently.  We also have a nice little bully Chosen unit with a Chaos Lord and Master of Executions to help keep enemy units who get too close honest.

Will this work?  Does it have enough bodies to get things done?  Is it Daemonic enough for you?
