Marvel: Crisis Protocol – ‘Spider-Foes Affiliation Pack’ Unboxed – Sinister Plans Unleashed
The Spider-Foes are getting a new Affiliation Pack and we’ve got a look inside the box. This has the hallmarks of something sinister.
Atomic Mass Games has plans regarding the Spider-Foes. What better way to reintroduce some classic villains of the famous wall crawler than to re-release them in their very own Affiliation Pack?! We got a preview copy of the box and now we’re taking a dive inside the contents to find out what exactly we’re getting.
It’s a fancy new box with the updated Marvel: Crisis Protocol look.
To kick things off, this box contains the characters of Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, Kraven the Hunter, and The Lizard. All of these miniatures have had a previous release but if you missed them the first time now’s the perfect time to snag them all at once.
While this might be a repackaging of older characters AMG did update a few things. The main thing that’s new are the cards themselves. They’ve all gotten a facelift and are the most current version of the cards. Additionally, the pack also comes with four sets in their respective languages for all the international fans.
Here I’m only using the english versions but you can see the new art and the updated cards themselves. Again, these are the most current versions based on the updated stat cards on AMG’s website.
As far as the miniature go, these are the exact same sculpts as before. To be honest, only Doctor Octopus feels a little dated — the other sculpts are much more dynamic than he is. Then again, he’s got a new miniature in the Earth’s Mightiest Core Set which does him a bit more justice anyhow.
Personally, I’m actually looking at running the new version of Doc Ock with more than a few of these characters in a list. Combined with the upcoming other box of spider villains, the Sinister Six is more than ready to play with Spider-Man.
Having said all that, this boxed set is due out in stores May 10, 2024. Again, if you missed these characters the first time around this is now the best way to snag them all with updated stat cards to match. These are classic Spider-Foes and they are rearing to go! You can pre-order this box now or you can wait until next week when it lands on store shelves.
