Star Wars: Shatterpoint – ‘This Is Some Rescue Squad Pack’ Announced
Star Wars: Shatterpoint is welcoming even more heroes from the “A New Hope” Era of Star Wars with this amazing new squad pack!
Okay, this is the kind of Stars Wars nostalgia I can get behind. If you loved the “rescue” scene from Star Wars: A New Hope then get ready to be taken back to the fun and excitement of that movie.

“May the 4th be with you! We are officially welcoming your favorite heroes from STAR WARS: A New Hope to STAR WARS: Shatterpoint in the This is Some Rescue Squad Pack, available for pre-order June 3rd.”
This is a bit of a surprise as these miniatures were not revealed at the Star Wars: Shatterpoint preview that was held at Adepticon this year. And that preview had some pretty major reveals!
As you can see, there’s no mention of the this squad pack from their Road Map. Now, this is clearly meant as a surprise reveal for May 4, 2024. So happy Star Wars Day!
This pack comes right on the heels of the previews of the ‘Real Quiet Like Squad Pack’ which also featured Chewie and Han Solo. This will also be the second release of those miniatures as well as a new Leia and Luke from a slightly earlier point in the Star War timeline. I do wonder what sort of pack this will be as well. It’s called a Squad Pack so I wonder who will be the Primary Unit, Secondary, and Supporting unit. That said, maybe this will also be a surprise Unit Pack like the Bounty Hunter pack.
Regardless, I do like the poses of the characters. I also Wonder what other surprises Atomic Mass Games is sitting on for Star Wars: Shatterpoint now. July and August did seem a little light. We’ll be keeping an eye out for this one as the pre-orders will go up on June 3rd — but that’s not an indication of the actual release date yet.
