We’ve got our copy of Warhammer: Age of Sigmar – Skaventide and we’ve got the miniatures built. Join us as we take a closer look!

The Skaventide boxed set is coming soon and Games Workshop sent us a preview copy. There’s a TON of awesome stuff inside but for now we’re just going to focus on the miniatures. You can be sure that even more cool stuff is on the way. In total there are 24 Stormcast Miniatures and 50 Skaven Miniatures to build and paint. Plus, there’s terrain to use as well.

With that said, we’ve got a LOT of miniatures to check out so let’s dive on in. Up first are the poster boys (and gals) — the Stormcast Eternals.

Skaventide – Stormcast Eternals

Lord-Vigilant on Gryph-stalker

The leader of the boxed set the Lord-Vigilant on Gryph-stalker is an imposing figure. You’ve got the option for a helmet or not with this miniature as well. With this model being mounted he makes a great figurehead to follow — or target to attack for his enemies.

Lord-Terminos

Wielding the mighty Blade Terminos these warriors can provide even the other Stormcast the sweet release of death. You do not want to be caught on this butcher’s block!

Lord-Veritant with Gryph-crow

The Lord-Veritant is an expert wizard and priest hunter. Aided by a Gryph-crow this blind seer can find all sorts of corruption and chaos.

Knight-Questor

Knight-Questors remind me of older GW miniatures. This one looks like an old school knight in armor just sort of doing his own thing on the battlefield. In game terms that’s kind of what he does, too. He’s a hero but he’s on a mission and is “unburdened” by command.

Reclusian with Memorian

There’s actually a squad of three Reclusians in the box along with a pair of Memorians. I like the idea that these warriors are on their last legs in terms of the Reforging process. Their attendants are there to remind them of their old, mortal lives. It’s a neat unit from a lore perspective. I also like the new shield designs on many of these models.

Prosecutor

The Prosecutors are also back in force with a trio of new models. These high-flying miniatures come with javelins that they rain down on their foes.

Liberators

And finally we have the new and slimmer Liberators. They come with shields and hammers and options with or without helmets.

Skaventide – Skaven Miniatures

Clawlord on Gnaw-beast

Okay, I kind of feel bad for the Gnaw-beast. That mount looks like it’s seen some stuff and has lived(?) to tell the tale. The Clawlord sure looks commanding on top of it at least. But I get the feeling he’s going to be leading from the rear…

Grey Seer

When it comes to slinging arcane energies the Grey Seers are your best bet on the Skaven side of things. I appreciate this one happens to be on top of a bell — or what’s left of one. Maybe it’s a nod to the old school screaming bell with a Grey Seer on top.

Warlock Engineer

Keep an eye out for this high priority target because the Warlock Engineer is going to be causing problems. When paired with the Warplock Jezzails they form a really mean one-two combo that is going to have lower health characters nervous to poke their heads out of cover.

Ratling Warpblaster

It just wouldn’t be a Skaven release without some crazy rat-man contraption. Here’s the Warpblaster up close. This miniature looks nuts and I can’t wait to see it on the tabletop!

Rat Ogors

The Rat Ogors come in a pack of three from this box and they have some gnarly weapons. I wouldn’t want to be caught in a dark alley with these rats that’s for sure.

Warplock Jezzails

There’s few units in the Skaven army as iconic as the Warplock Jezzails. They’ve gotten a remake in the new box and I really like the way the teams have come together. That said, I’m dreading taking fire from these guys on the tabletop.

Clanrats

Finally, we have the Clanrats. These are the ubiquitous and disposable dregs of the Skaven. They might be a dime-a-dozen but there’s strength in the swarm. They’ve got numbers on their side!

That’s it for the miniatures up close. There’s obvious loads more from the various units but these were enough to give you a pretty good look at the miniatures. We’ve got more planned from the Skaventide box. It’s going to be a Summer of Skaven for sure!

Which miniatures are your favorite from the new Skaventide box?
