MTG: Hatsune Miku Summer Superdrop is Bringing the Song of Season
The second round of Hatsune Miku drops is almost upon us, so warm up your vocal cords and your card sleeves.
We’ve had all manner of Special Guests in Secret Lairs and Universes Beyond over the years. From Space Marines and Tyranids from the 41st Millenium to characters from The Walking Dead and Stranger Things, non-canon characters have graced our gaming tables for a while. Now, the Spring Superdrop looks to add a bit of extra flair to our MTG games with the first entry in Secret Lair x Hatsune Miku.
Wizards of the Coast had this to say about the upcoming drop.
Wizards of the Coast announces the second set in its collaboration with global digital superstar Hatsune Miku: Secret Lair × Hatsune Miku: Digital Sensation. Following the Sakura Superstar set from the Spring Superdrop, Secret Lair × Hatsune Miku: Digital Sensation will be available through the Summer Superdrop 2024 event, running from Monday, June 24 at 9 a.m. PDT to July 14, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. PDT.
The cards included in the Secret Lair x Hatsune Miku: Sakura Superstar drop are:
- 1x Diabolic Tutor
- 1x Chord of Calling
- 1x Child of Alara as “Miku, Child of Song”
- 1x Song of Creation
- 1x Sol Ring
- 1x Thespian’s Stage
Secret Lair x Hatsune Miku: Digital Sensation will be available for preorder beginning June 24th, 2024, at 9:00 AM Pacific Time, exclusively on the Secret Lair official site for $29.99 (Non-foil) and $39.99 (Foil) while supplies last. Both the foil and non-foil drops are available in English and Japanese language versions. Featured artists include Narendra Bintara Adi, Billy Christian, 加藤綾華 Aya Kato, Kekai Kotaki, п猫Ｒ PE-nekoR, and Leonardo Santanna.
Just like last time, I’m super jazzed for this drop. Including some of the other Vocaloids in the art makes me excited for the diverse cast to get their own cards in the future.
