Along with the release of the new Pendragon 6E Core Rulebook, Chaosium has put out an epic, sweeping, revitalized campaign.

Pendragon 6E is here, promising courtly love, knightly virtues, and monstrous vices. All wrapped up in an Arthurian burrito held aloft by the outstretched hand of a lady who happens to be in a lake. This might not be good for a system of governance – we all know an anarcho-syndicalist commune is the way to go). However, it is good for roleplaying games.

And if you’re looking to take Pendragon 6E for a spin, Chaosium has you covered. Alongside the new core rulebook: a campaign. And not just any campaign. It is The Grey Knight, one of Pendragon’s first campaigns from the halcyon days gone by. Only now it’s been revamped and revitalized for 6th Edition.

It is a beefy campaign that spans generations and offers you the chance to see the system in action. It’s set up for new players and new GMs to learn as they go. So if you’re looking to try out a new system, this is probably a good way to go.

Pendragon 6E: The Grey Knight

Pendragon: The Grey Knight is a complete campaign, fully compatible with both the Pendragon Starter Set and the Pendragon: Core Rulebook.

The Grey Knight waits for vengeance, and time is running out! Can you find the treasure that holds the key to defeating this vile foe, and save the kingdom itself? Revised and updated for the new edition, Pendragon: The Grey Knight is a beginner-friendly campaign book, containing everything you need to run the legendary Grey Knight campaign.

And when they say epic characters, they mean it in a very literary sense. Along the way, you’ll meet Arthur, Guenevere, Merlin, Morgan le Fay, and plenty more. You probably won’t meet Sir Garlon, the Knight who Rides Invisible, because a) he’s kind of a jerk, and b) is more of a deep cut Arthurian figure and The Grey Knight is more of a greatest hits album.

If you want the Arthurian equivalent of deeply underground indie music, you gotta go back to books, I’m afraid, where words live.

But in The Grey Knight, you’ll get the two prequel scenarios from the Starter Set as well as the full Grey Knight campaign, which comes with a gorgeous map of Britain, so you’ll be ready to run your own campaign in that strange land of lorries, biscuits, and tea.
