A second print run for the award-winning horror RPG Jiang-Shi: Blood in the Banquet Hall on BackerKit promises delicious new hauntings.

Jiang-Shi: Blood in the Banquet Hall is an award-winning horror RPG that tells the tale of a family of immigrants running a Chinese restaurant in the 1920s, which is home to its own problems just from society in general, and then also there are vampires. If you’ve never heard of it, you’re missing out on the ENnie award-winning RPG, which takes the traditional roleplay dynamic and makes it more collaboratively focused and specific.

Games are short in that they’re meant to be one-shots or a few sessions at most. This isn’t a game for campaign play but rather one for exploring the kinds of storytelling you and your friends can get up to. And speaking of exploring storytelling, that’s exactly what the 2nd Print Run campaign wants to do.

Not only does a new campaign, now on BackerKit, hope to fund a 2nd print run, but it also wants to bring New Hauntings and more scenarios to the game.

Jiang-Shi: Blood on the Banquet Hall Now on BackerKit

A second print run for this is a great opportunity for new players. The game seamlessly combines board game and role-playing game elements. The components in a physical copy of Jiang-Shi immerse you in the game’s world.

On top of all of that, you also have the opportunity to get more scenarios, which promise even more eras, situations, and terrors for players:

Whether you are just discovering Jiangshi: Blood in the Banquet Hall, or you are a returning supporter, we have a reward tier to get you the game material you want. In addition to reprinting the award-winning core game, we plan to produce Jiangshi: New Hauntings with more scenarios for your table. These scenarios explore new eras and situations for your families and restaurants, including having your restaurant featured in a viral video, or confronting racism in the American south during the 1970s.

Jiangshi: New Hauntings has BRAND NEW scenarios in a scenario book from some of the most exciting indie writers and designers in the industry, including: co-designer Banana Chan, co-designer Sen-Foong Lim, Daniel Kwan, Diogo Nogueira, Steven Wu, Alyx Bui, Connie Chang, Ethan Yen, Carlos Cisco, Jonaya Kemper, Ross Cheung, Misha Bishyager, Jasmine Bhullar, James Mendez Hodes, Danny Quach, and Herb Ferman.
