‘The Expanse RPG’ is getting a new ‘Expansion Pack’ in ‘The Transport Union Edition’
The Expanse RPG is expanding with a new expansion pack that will take you 30 years into the future of The Expanse, coming soon to Backerkit.
Green Ronin Publishing, makers of The Expanse RPG announced a new expansion that includes updated and revised core rules, as well as an updated storyline/setting document that takes players 30 years into the future outlined in the books.
The Transport Union Edition will launch on BackerKit later this year. Along with the new book, Green Ronin hopes to launch full virtual tabletop support for both Roll20 and Foundry, so that players can continue to explore the Solar System of the Expanse wherever their friends may be.

The Expanse Expands with Transport Union Edition

The Transport Union Edition is an updated and revised core rulebook that takes you 30 years into the future of The Expanse storyline- and it is 100% compatible with existing characters and ships!
The Transport Union Edition expands the background and rules but the core game of the original 2019 edition remains the same. Previous supplements like Ships of the Expanse, Beyond the Ring, and the Sol System remain great and useful resources.
Though the BackerKit campaign won’t launch for another 53 days, Green Ronin is already offering a reward for Launch Day backers: a free set of “proton dice” and “first crack” at limited rewards.
But what is the Transport Union Era when it comes to the Expanse? The updated core rulebook will take you between Book 6, Babylon’s Ashes, and Book 7, Persepolis Rising. In the thirty years between those books, there’s an unexplored sector of the solar system.
What about the compatibility issues? Green Ronin points out that the Transport Union Edition is still compatible with the Expanse RPG as it was in 2019:

The Expanse RPG virtual tabletop is also being enhanced as part of the Transport Union Edition with full compendium support coming to Roll20, along with official support coming to Foundry, allowing you to play the game online with your friends wherever they are.
In the Transport Union Edition you’ll find a new adventure, as well as new rules for cybernetic or bio enhancement of your player characters. There will be new ships, new rules to use them with, and of course, rules for operating in different environments than the ones you’re used to, which will come in handy for Earthers, Martians, and Belters.
