Age of Sigmar: ‘Battle For Hel Crown’ Final Hours – Chaos Victory Assured
Chaos has secured a victory in the Battle For Hel Crown — at least unofficially. Get ready for some new Skaven teasers coming soon!
The global campaign for the Battle For Hel Crown is ending today and unless something very drastic happens this is a chaos win. And it’s not even close. I know GW is trying to make this one dramatic but…yeah, I don’t think it’s happening.
The Unofficial Final Numbers for Hel Crown
Update: August 5, 2024
Inside the city the Skaven were out to an early lead and held their ground through the three week campaign. The Stormcast Eternals were just never in contention to win this battle. I’ve written up some thoughts as to why that is already. The TL;DR of it is that Stormcast Eternals just aren’t that much of a fan favorite compared to Skaven. It sure seems like folks want more Skaven and are excited to see what miniatures they have coming. The Stormcast Eternals might be the literal posterboys of AoS but other armies have a lot more history and excitement for them.
And outside the city the Forces of Order suffered an even worse fate.
Update: August 5, 2024
These are the results as of publishing this article. Outside the gates, the Forces of Chaos have delivered a crushing defeat to the Forces of Order. As I mentioned above, I think a lot of players (even non-Skaven players) really want to see more previews from Skaven and not Stormcast Eternals. What’s funny to me is that at one point the Forces of Order did manage to claw ahead by a few points. But, as we draw towards the finish, it’s clear that the Forces of Chaos have won this round quite handily.
Skaven Reveals coming August 10, 2024!
I guess we can all sit back and wait to see the Skaven reveals. Again, these numbers were pulled from the Hel Crown website and while GW hasn’t called it yet, I‘m willing to call this one a chaos victory.
The people have spoken. The Skaventide has risen and it’s time for the ratmen to get their time in the spotlight!
