From Cthulhus to Xenomorphs, there’s so much stuff to be afraid of in DriveThruRPG’s Cosmic Horror Sale. And at a scarily good discount.

Summer is ending. With its ending, the leaves start to turn, a grim reminder that there are terrible, inevitable truths lurking just beyond the edge of perception. Why not confront them head on with DriveThruRPG’s Cosmic Horror Sale.

This sale will net you discounts on all things cosmic and horror. There’s an important distinction here, too. It’s not just your Call of Cthulhus, but you can find RPGs like the ALIEN RPG, Eclipse Phase, and even Delta Green, which makes way more sense because that’s basically spec ops Cthulhu. That is to say, you play as spec ops forces going after Cthulhu. Cthulhu hasn’t joined some spec ops team. At least, not that I know of. Hang on, got a new campaign idea brewing…

DriveThruRPG’s Cosmic Horror Sale – Big Savings, Eldritch Truths

There are a ton of titles to choose from. So many that it may drive all senses from you? Perhaps, if you have a hard time imagining how many RPGs there are. You can find a link to the wholesale below at the end of this article. But in the meantime, here are some highlights you might not want to miss.

The Alien RPG Family – You can save big on the RPG of the moment. With the success of Alien Romulus sparking interest in the world of murderous xenomorphs and even more murderous corporations once again, the time may be right to dive into Free League’s award-winning ALIEN RPG or any of the sourcebooks that come along with it. You can find the Colonial Marine’s Operations Manual for some ALIENS vibes, or you can try Building Better Worlds to really dig into some space horror campaign-style play.

Call of Cthulhu – The quintessential game of mythos-based cosmic horror. It’s the one that started it all for many players. And it’s worth mentioning that Call of Cthulhu wasn’t just big for horror games, but its influence on modern RPG campaigns and campaign modules cannot be overstated. From the legendary Masks of Nyarlathotep to the more recent Horror on the Orient Express, the Call of Cthulhu campaign game is absolutely worth diving into. Or for shorter play try something like the analog-horror adaptation, complete with glitchy video add ons, Signal to Noise.

Never Going Home – Of course, there are some amazing indie titles out there, too. And something like Never Going Home makes the sale worth exploring. Never Going Home is set during World War I, and all its corporeal horrors, but now a terrible new element has been added to the war. When the Veil was torn in 1916, and the Whispers promised arcane power and terrible transformation to any who would listen.

Of course, what horrors you may discover are entirely up to you.
