Goatboy here with a tricksyArmylist for the new Codex: Imperial Agents , guest starring Canis Rex!

Goatboy here with a thoughtful Armylist for the new Imperial Agents book.  I don’t know how much of this will stick as we all know points shift and shimmer when a new book comes out.  This is especially true as we have been told we will see two points for the book, with one being an Ally cost and the other being a full-blown Imperial Agents army cost.  Will try our best with the points given and see what we can do.

I think for any Imperial Agent army to function they will have to look at adding in Canis Rex from the Imperial Knights book to be the heavy.  The army is severely lacking in high damage options, but Canis helps clean it up, gives you some oomph, and is a fairly nice looking model to have as a centerpiece.

From there will go with some units that are tough enough to not just chew through, offer some movement tricks, and hopefully some chances to score  points. I still don’t think the Imperial Agents army has enough to get the job done but I am sure someone will make me eat my written word and wreck me with these Agents of the Imperium.

Army List Tactics

Currently, this list sits at 1995pts with the idea that you can infiltrate your three Deathwatch Killteam,  Deepstrike the Grey Knight Terminators, and hopefully be as much of a pain in the ass with the Assassins as you can.  I am hoping we see the official points come down for the army, as I feel this list could use more stuff on the table.  I didn’t put the weapons on the Deathwatch units but we could go into close combat jerks or shooting jerks if you wanted too.  It is up to you.

Until next time – let’s hope the Blood Angels are pretty nuts when that book finally gets to my greedy little hands.
