Games Workshop has an impressive new cinematic trailer out for the upcoming Operation Hivestorm. It’s about to be Kill Team time once again.

We need to give credit where it’s due and right now it’s due to the cinematic team for Games Workshop. They nailed it with this new Operation Hivestorm trailer. You need to watch it for yourself.

It’s bloody, gory, brutal, and it leaves us with so many more questions than answers. This is a banger of a trailer. And considering how many views it’s wracked-up so far I it seems like it’s struck a cord. Honestly, it reminds me of the 2021 trailer for Kill Team in a lot of ways. That one was also a really good trailer.

Anyhow, this trailer had a couple of really cool surprises in store. First up, we know that Operation Hivestorm is going to be related to Kill Team. Second, it sure looks like we’ve got some Imperial vs T’au action. But not just any Imperials — the Tempestus Scions are back with some fancy grav-chutes. And not just any T’au — we’ve got Vespids with some very fancy new weapons, too! To top it all off, we’ve got questions. Lots of them. Thankfully we won’t have to wait for very long to find out more…

There’s a lot to unpack here – grav-chute-wearing Tempestus Scions? Some T’au Empire auxiliaries that are almost certainly Vespids, and using bespoke T’au weaponry unlike the Kroot? And what on earth is that colossal cannon in the background?

Thankfully you won’t need to wait long to find out all the juicy details as you can join us tomorrow for The Warhammer Preview Show: Operation Hivestorm, which is all about Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team

I was curious about what all these teasers were for initially. But now that we know what Operation Hivestorm is and that’s the next Kill Team arc. It sure looks like we’re heading back to the Chalnath Expanse and it’s going to be a bloody fight for sure.

It’s also very intriguing we’ve got a focus on the Tempestus Scions and the Vespids in particular. We really haven’t seen a whole lot from either of them in recent memory. Let’s hope this means some new updates for both!
