In the grim darkness of the distant future, Necromunda opens wide a new expansion. Check out the Book of Desolation and friends.

Necromunda has a bold new expansion coming with the Book of Desolation. With the expedition into Hive Secundus underway, the heretical Malstrain Genestealers have been unleashed from where they’ve been simmering. But, will the brood be enough to contend with the technological prowess of the Spyre Hunters?

Find out with next week’s preorders. And then of course, don’t miss out on the Old World goodness with some big heroes and dwarven guns.

All this coming to you next week!

Necromunda: The Book of Desolation

The Book of Desolation is a brand new expansion for Necromunda. It delves further into the depths of Hive Secundus. There, you’ll find rules for the Malstrain Genestealers and their Gangs, as well as rules for Spyre Hunters, and Secundan Incursion Gangs. You’ll also get a new Underhells Campaign, as well as scenarios for fighting in the Underhells, and running Abyssal Ferryman Teams. All these new toys await in the book, but also in mini form.

The Van Saar Tek Hunters are a kitbasher’s dream. Their armor and weaponry smacks of archaeotech, which just looks cool on anyone. In the Tek Hunter box, you get two each of Gunteks, Augurteks, Bioteknists, and Teknomats.

Meanwhile the Malstrain Genestealer Abomination Gang brings the spikey goodness of the new Malstrain Genestealers. These have been experimented on by the Heretek Magos Biologis Hermiatus, so they have even more heretical power than the usual Genestealer. Fun.

The new Spyre Hunter suits are out in force as well. The Orrus Hunting Rig is the brute strength/big version of the Spyre Hunter power armor. You get two Orrus Spyre Hunters in the box, as well as a Caryatid Prime to follow you around.

Or pick up a Malcadon, Yeld, or Jakara Spyre Hunter Rig if you prefer mobility and critical damage. Malcadon suits get you paired claws, Jakara has a monomolecular sword and mirror shield, while the Yeld suit has wings and laser gauntlets. You can build one of each from this box.

Or pick up some Trazior Pattern Sentry Guns. Banned in Hive Primus, these weapons don’t care whether they’re firing at friend or foe, just whoever is closest. You get twin grenade launcher sentry guns and twin heavy stubber sentry guns. And between the two types, hopefully you can hold your own.

Finally, House Delaque’s agent, Yageloth, the Master of Whispers, steps briefly out of the Shadows to strike with a psychometric blade.

The Old World Goodies

Of course, the Old World has its fair share of goodies this week too. Ogruz Swampdigga Da Troll Calla is an Orc Shaman who wears the skin of a dead Troll and can use Troll magic in battle, much to the chagrin of friend and foe alike.

Grab a Dwarf King with Oathstone to bring your triumphs to the head of your Dwarf armies.

Or bring in a Slayer of Legend, representing here both Daemon and Dragon Slayers.

Or pick up some Dwarf Miners, or the Cannon and Organ Gun.

It’s worth noting the Organ Gun is many cannon that look like a pipe organ, it doesn’t shoot viscera at your opponents.

Dwarf Gyrocopters prove that even in the Old World, Dwarves will still find a way to fly and drop bombs on things.

All this, next week!
