Star Wars: We’re Ready For a Lake Day With This Padme Amidala Cosplay
Padme is a character with a look for every occasion. Aggressive negotiations? No problem. Pleasant day on the lake? Of course.
Few characters in Star Wars are as known for fashion as Padme Amidala. Leia had a bunch of good looks, and Andor showed us a little bit of Mon Mothma’s likely extensive wardrobe. But when it comes to fashion statement after fashion statement, Padme takes the cake.
I think many of us have a dream Padme outfit to make one day (mine has always been the purple senatorial gown), and the lake dress is definitely one of the most popular. Which makes sense, it’s gorgeous, it plays with mixing different textures and materials, and it’s one of her few outfits that could conceivably be made to be somewhat comfortable. And this part of the prequels was so warm and nice…. Before everything went to garbage.
Cosplayer Catharsly’s Padme Lake Dress is beautiful with it’s off-the-screen perfect flow and ombre colors. Not to mention the softness and light of the photography makes her cosplay shoot look like an actual secret date with a famous Jedi in a galaxy far far away. Everything about this shoot is wistful and romantic and true to the characters in this scene. So maybe it’s time to jump into a secret high profile marriage.
