GW has released the latest Faction packs for Age of Sigmar 4.0. We’ve got the lowdown on the biggest changes for the bikini-clad barbarians, the Daughters of Khaine.

Welcome in, Generals of the Realms! Skaventide is out, the battle lines have been drawn, and we are firmly in the 4.0 season. If you’re anything like me, you’ve been chomping at the bit to see how your favorite faction fared in the update. Some are amazing, some are terrible, and most are a little bit of both. Whatever faction you play, there’s definitely been a massive shakeup in how you’re going to play.

The Daughters of Khaine would never win contests for being the toughest army in Age of Sigmar. It’s to be expected, considering that they take to battle in little more than armored lingerie. However, they compensate for the lack of staying power with punch, murder, and flair.

In 4.0, the DoK have lost some of their blending power but none of their style. They are still fragile and a little less killy, but they can do a lot if built correctly. Their passive abilities are still off the charts, but they require finesse to succeed. However, if you’re willing to do the work, these ladies will absolutely break hearts while they’re breaking bones

Daughters of Khaine The Good: Moydah!

The Daughters of Khaine worship a god of slaughter, and his favored children show it with their techniques. Melusai, in particular, are powerful in 4.0, able to piggyback attacks and get down to business before the opponent has a chance to strike back.

Even better, if they can build up enough charge speed, the Melusai and their winged Khinerai cousins can turn all that speed into violence. The ability to attack first AND stack your attacks means your serpentine sisters will be slaying left and right. While you might want to pepper a few Aelves into your army as well, it’s hard to argue that Melusai are the new hotness in the new edition.

Daughters of Khain The Bad: Very Delicate

You have to play carefully with the bloody brides these days. While they are all fairly strong, they require finesse to win games. They’re much too fragile to commit without thought, and they don’t have the killing power they used to have to balance their paper defenses. If you aren’t careful, you’ll table yourself trying to take out a key target. This is an amazing army, but it isn’t for the faint of heart.

How did your favorite faction do?
