In Cubicle 7’s Broken Weave, magic has gone wrong and the world is dying, forgetting what it used to be. Perfect time for adventuring!

Broken Weave made a big splash in its Kickstarter campaign. Promising a “tragic fantasy world”, the world of Broken Weave is a dying one. The weave of magic has broken. The gods are dead, and the world has all but forgotten what it once was. So says the trailer.

In practice, it’s a unique and ever-changing world full of corrupting Decay and weird and wild monsters that have mutated because of the corpses of dead gods. But above all else, its a world about Hope. About growing a community. No really. Check it out.

Broken Weave – A Tragic Fantasy Campaign Setting for D&D

Broken Wave is a world that has “begun to forget what it was.” Which means that it’s all sorts of messed up. People are forgetting how it used to be, knowledge slips away as players combat Decay by the flickering light of Hope. If that sounds metal AF, it is, and you may well want to check out this campaign setting.

Time and distance have lost their meaning, and the knowledge of how things once were crumbles like ash between your fingers. Those who remain, struggle to survive in a shattered world ruled by Decay, which eats at memory and warps people into monsters, and monsters into nightmares.

Here’s a taste of what you can expect:

  • 5 brand new character Classes fit for the Broken World.
  • New rules for harvesting monsters, travelling, the corrupting force of Decay, the flickering light of Hope, and even a bespoke trail language to decipher.
  • A setting guide to this strange and ever-changing world where magic is broken and God-corpses litter the land.
  • New rules for founding, growing, and protecting your community over generations.
  • A host of nightmarish creatures, and mechanics for converting any 5e monster to use in your Broken Weave campaign.

The World is Broken, maybe you’ll be the ones to fix it.
