These Disney games and tabletop RPGs will help bring a little extra nostalgia and magic to your next game night.

Whether you live with or spend a lot of time with kids or not, there’s a huge variety of people who see the magic in Disney. Sometimes we all just need to forget about everything that’s actually happening in the world and jump into the nostalgia bubble for a bit. So this week let’s make our game nights feel a little more like childhood with these Disney games.

1. Villainous

This game is huge. You’ve probably already heard about it, in fact. Personally, I have at least a few versions of Villainous on my game shelf, and it’s been the perfect game to grab when I need something easy, short, and fun. It would be safe to say that this is one of the top two or three games we go for when my family comes for a visit. Players each pick a different infamous baddie and try to become the worst in the land by being the first to attain all of their evil goals. Of course, there’s ample opportunity for sabotaging your fellow villain. So live your worst life.

2. Lorcana

This game may be huger. Lorcana came out earlier this year, and it became very quickly popular. Personally, I’m awful at strategy card games. But this one is really easy to pick up, learn, and play. Plus, the art is beautiful and so often outside of the usual Disney design or style. If you’ve been thinking about starting up a new Lorcana hobby, this set has everything you need to play against other people with decks. And if you’re better than me, maybe you’ll start collecting them all.

3. Magical World of Trivia

Are you the kind of person who enjoys collecting fun facts? Does everyone around you have no interest in your fun facts? Trivia will allow you to tell all of your friends all of those fun facts and force them to be impressed by them! Or at least acknowledge them.

4. Haunted Mansion Board Game

If you exist in the very specific intersection of ‘a little basic’ and ‘a little spooky’ you probably LOVE the Haunted Mansion. I know because that’s also me! My dining room is painted to look like the wallpaper and I’ve got the stretching room portraits hanging up. It’s not cool, but I love it. In this board game you wander through the mansion, finding ghosts, and trying to avoid hitchhikers. It’s silly, but if you love the ride, you probably appreciate the level of silly they’re going for.

5. Quests of Yore

This reference feels a bit like a hat on a hat, but I’m delighted that Quests of Yore was marketed. In Onward a legally distinct DnD-like game was played by some. And with this starter set you too can play not-quite-DnD. And it really does come with everything you would need. Players Guide, quests, spells, items, tokens, minis, and dice are all included.
