James Workshop, the totally real and not fake at all founder of Games Workshop, is back with website changes for Warhammer Community.

If you’ve popped over to the Warhammer Community site today you might have noticed things are …different. They have a new website design and it’s a thing now. But before we get into all that, the real reason we’re here to watch James Workshop do what he does best:

One thing I do like about the new site is that WarCom will now be re-posting their content in other languages, starting with German.

“…we are also proud to announce that Warhammer Community will be appearing in other languages. We’re kicking things off with a raft of German content, which will be found on a dedicated site. You can flick between regions using the flag in the upper right corner.”

WarCom – Same Site, Fresh Face

As far as the site redesign, it’s going to take a little getting used to. I have a feeling that folks are going to be vocal about disliking it at first but GW isn’t going to revert it backwards. So, like all redesigns, folks will get used to the new UI and that will be the standard for a while. And then at some point in the future, *poof* new site update. And we’ll start the cycle all over again. That’s kind of how these things work.

There are some nice features from the site’s update where you can save articles for reading or reference later. They’ve also updated the top of the page with the categories for the respective game systems so they are a little easier to spot.

I’m still figuring out the new layout myself and, to me personally, this is …fine. Games Workshop is also saying the backend is faster and that’s objectively a good thing when you have a site on the internet. Speed is king. So, good for them I guess.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go poke around at this site and figure out how to navigate it. This shouldn’t take too long.
