Dice Throne: Outcasts & Adventures Unchained Kickstarter Crushes Goal
The popular Dice Throne series is back with a new Kickstarter for creepy season and it’s slayed it’s funding goal.
You’ve probably heard of Dice Throne by now. It’s a pretty fast playing dice/card game that pits various heroes against others in 1v1, teams, free-for-alls, or even cooperatively based on the expansions. They’ve had a ton of different additions over the years with their own sets of heroes and even licensed ones. Now they have a new Kickstarter that not only adding more heroes but also has a new Dungeon-style/Boss Battle to take on!
Dice Throne Outcasts & Adventures Unchained Kickstarter
As of publishing, they’ve already crushed their funding goal and are over 1500% so far…and growing. Based on those numbers I think it’s safe to say this one is going to be funded. Furthermore, Dice Throne is an established brand so I’d be pretty confident that if you did back this product, you’re going to get your pledges.
Having said that, there’s a couple different pledge levels that come with the new things. So be mindful of what exactly you’re getting. For example, if you just wanted Dice Throne Outcasts, that’s the New Hero bundle. It comes with the four new heroes and the promo pack.
If you wanted to get the new Dice Throne Adventures Unchained expansion you’d have to go for the $70 New Game Bundle — but it also comes with the Hero Pack and Promo Pack, too.
Dice Throne Adventures Unchained
To be honest, I think I’m more interested in the new Dice Throne Adventures Unchained for the different game modes. While I do like the core game with the 1v1 and team games, having a rogue-like dungeon run ending with a boss battle sounds fun.
Additionally since all the heroes are 100% cross compatible with each other you could run any other heroes in your collection through the dungeon to see how they’d fair. It’s also solo or co-op so you can play how you want with this expansion.
If you’re interested in the four heroes from the Outcast Kickstarter, check them out for sure. Personally, I think I’d like to give the Necromancer a shot. Summoning Skeletal minions and Golems to do my bidding seems like a good way to stay in the game.
Now, as with all Kickstarters, there are some risks. Be sure you read up on those (although, again, I’d be pretty confident about this one). Additionally, there’s always the shipping to consider, too. So keep that in mind.
If you’re on the fence about this one or just want to check out more Dice Throne before you back the Kickstarter, they have loads of products already. You can likely find them in your FLGS, too. You can snag an existing boxed set or even one of the 1v1 boxes to give it a shot. Dice Throne is super fast to setup and learn.
So get ready to throw some dice and duke it out with your friends to see who can claim the (dice) throne!
Did you know there’s an X-Men Pre-Order box. Just sayin…
