Discord and Roll20 have teamed up to bring you a free to play D&D one-shot available on any Discord server. Even yours.

It’s a lot better than U2 Album, that’s for sure. Today, Discord and Roll20 announced a free one-shot D&D adventure in celebration of the venerable RPG’s 50th anniversary. It also happens to celebrate Discord and Roll20’s incredible partnership, which should not be overlooked because now you can just play D&D (or any of the other RPGs supported on Roll20) with the push of a button. And that’s pretty rad.

The new adventure, titled Voyage Into Discord, is a spooky adventure that pulls on all of Roll20’s bells, whistles, and dynamic lighting (you knew it would). And it’s yours, free to claim, until the end of October. So, even if you aren’t playing now, it might be worth checking out while it’s still available.

Roll20 and Discord’s D&D One-Shot – Voyage Into Discord

Voyage Into Discord is a free adventure where players find themselves swept up in a “long-lost hub world” full of forgotten magic and vampire-haunted ruins. With magical wards failing and the sun eventually going to set, things seem pretty dire unless some plucky heroes can step in.

“Claimable through the end of October in Roll20’s Discord Activity, this spooky Fifth Edition campaign offers a self-contained play experience for three to six 1st-3rd level characters. It features six pre-generated characters and a fully integrated character sheet for players who prefer to build their own. The included advenutre maps are set up with Dynamic Lighting, accessible to Roll20 subscribers, ad the campaign’s handouts are organized to easily guide the campaign’s Dungeon Master through the adventure from start to finish.”

It’s free real estate, for one. But also, if you’ve not tried out the Discord Roll20 functionality, this is a great chance to jump in, because it’s got all the features. The Dynamic Lighting, the organized handouts, and the character builder are all available right in Discord. You can find it by clicking the Rocket Ship button on the voice channel on any Discord server, next to the soundboard and other activities.

Happy adventuring!
