Legions Imperialis is getting a massive release of Mechanicum and the Blood Angels are getting a Combat Patrol!

This is an exciting week for fans of Legions Imperialis. There’s a fantastic new supplement out that brings the Dark Mechanicum to the tabletop. To go along with that we’re also getting a ton of new kits for Legions Imperialis, too. I’m a big fan of the tiny terrain sets coming as well as the Battle Group. Grab that one while you can.

On the 40k side, the Blood Angels are getting a Combat Patrol and it’s a really good deal for new and returning BA players. I’ve been eyeing the box myself and I think it might be a good pick-up (or maybe a holiday gift for myself). With that said, here’s what’s up for pre-order from Games Workshop this weekend.

Combat Patrol: Blood Angels $168

The Blood Angels favour close-ranged strikes where their speed, grace, and skill can be harnessed. Assault Intercessors form the backbone of these forces, equipped for melee but versatile by nature. When the elite Sanguinary Guard lend their strength, they are a deadly foe indeed.

Take the fight to the enemies of the Imperium with this aggressive Combat Patrol. Led by a Blood Angels Captain, who can be armed with a wide array of wargear, and six impressive Sanguinary Guard, this army hits hard. Backed up by a core of Assault Intercessors and kitted out with Blood Angels upgrades, your army will crash into their foes like a ceramite tidal wave.

This box allows you to save money compared to buying each kit individually, making it an excellent way to start your army or expand an existing collection. These miniatures can also be used as a complete Blood Angels force for use in Combat Patrol games of Warhammer 40,000 – the rules for this Combat Patrol are available as a free download on the Warhammer Community website.

Legions Imperialis: Mechanicum Battle Group $160

The Mechanicum has access to resources on a scale unmatched in the Age of Darkness, not as numerous as some, nor as highly trained as others, but heavily augmented with technology to make up for both. For numbers, they create countless Tech-thralls, repurposed from the labouring workforces of forge worlds. For fire support, their battle-automata carry the heaviest of weapons with no thought of exhaustion or inconvenience. Commanded by brilliant, if eccentric, Archmagos Primes, they operate as a well-oiled machine – each cog in its place.

This box contains a massive collection of Mechanicum miniatures to act as either the core of a new Mechanicum or Dark Mechanicum army, or as a versatile pool of allied Detachments for your existing collection. You’ll find everything from dependable, yet disposable, infantry and transports, to specialised shock troops, and heavy support.

This boxed set contains 146x epic scale plastic Citadel miniatures, which combine to build 56x Mechanicum or Dark Mechanicum models as follows:

– 2x Archmagos Prime on Abeyant
– 2x Vultarax Stratos-Automata
– 2x Arlatax Battle-Automata
– 2x Myrmidon Secutor Host bases
– 2x Domitar Battle-Automata
– 2x Tech-Priest Auxilia bases
– 2x Vorax Battle-Automata bases
– 4x Ursarax Cohort bases
– 4x Triaros, and accessories
– 4x Castellax Battle-Automata bases
– 4x Myrmidon Destructor Host bases
– 8x Thallax Cohort bases
– 8x Thanatar Siege-Automata, weapon options, and accessories
– 10x Adsecularis Tech-Thrall bases

This kit includes 530 plastic components, 16x Legions Imperialis 32mm Round Bases, and 38x Legions Imperialis 25mm Round Bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.

The individual miniatures in this set will be available separately at a later date.

Knight Households – Knight House Battle Group $160

The blare of warhorns and the crisp snap of pennants on the wind accompany the noble Knight Households. They wear the colours of their heraldry proudly, marching alongside the armies of both sides in the Horus Heresy, bound by ancient oaths to fight with honour.

This bundle contains 12 Knights to use in your games of Legions Imperialis. Smaller, faster, and more agile than Titans, yet still equipped with heavy firepower, Knights offer unique tactical options for your army. Taken in numbers, they present difficult choices for your opponent, diverting attention away from the rest of your army and throwing a wrench in enemy plans.

This set includes the following multipart plastic models:
– 2x Acastus Knights Porphyrion
– 4x Cerastus Knight Lancers
– 6x Questoris Knights

The set also includes cards and accessories to use these miniatures in games of Adeptus Titanicus.

All models come with their appropriate bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.

Titan Legions – Titan Battle Group $185

The thunder of heavy treads heralds the arrival of the mighty Titans, which are often seconded to fight alongside Legiones Astartes and Solar Auxilia regiments. The weapons they bear are capable of laying entire cities to waste in a single blast.

This bundle includes four Titans to add to your Legions Imperialis army. As the last word in heavy weaponry, each of them is enough to drastically swing the odds of battle in your favour. Adding all of them creates a nigh-unstoppable force that will soak massive amounts of enemy firepower.

This set includes the following multipart plastic models:
– 1x Warlord Battle Titan
– 1x Reaver Battle Titan
– 2x Warhound Scout Titans

The set also includes cards and accessories to use these miniatures in games of Adeptus Titanicus.

All models come with their appropriate bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.

Please note that the base designs shown in the imagery may differ to those supplied in this product. The contents of this set are also available separately.

The Horus Heresy – Legions Imperialis – The Rise of the Dark Mechanicum $52

During the Age of Darkness, the Mechanicum of Mars split in two, just as the Astartes did. Fueled by righteous fury on both sides, they tore into each other with the most devastating weaponry unleashed during those bleak times, holding nothing back.

Contained within this 128-page hardback book you will find a comprehensive history of the rift that tore the Mechanicum apart, detailing the corrupt technologies employed by the Dark Mechanicum, as they came to be known. You’ll learn of the Doom of Magma City, the largest conflict of this internecine war, and the forces that took part. Also included are rules for both the loyal Mechanicum, and the traitorous Dark Mechanicum, plus their Formations, and Detachments.

This supplement book presents a full campaign system for linking Legions Imperialis battles together, including an Escalation Campaign that sees the forces ramping up to a final apocalyptic battle. You’ll also find rules for three Formations of Legend, with their own unique special rules, plus army lists for Collegia Titanica and Questoris Familia forces.

In order to use the content of this book, you will require a copy of the Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Legions Imperialis Rulebook, available separately.
