The upcoming Discworld RPG from Modiphius promises all sorts of hilarity. With a new pun-based rules engine that gives players different dice while also drawing upon the many characters and the rich setting of Sir Terry Pratchett’s Discworld. Especially Ankh-Morpork, but, you know, the world is wide. And flat.

In a new livestream featuring Abubakar Salim, Liv Kennedy, Josephine McAdams, and run by GM Quinns (of Shut Up & Sit Down), Modiphius showcases the whole ruleset in the best way possible, in action. One of the core mechanics is trying to beat the GM’s roll, which is always on a d8. And depending on your justifications, you might have anywhere from a d4 to a d12.
And that’s before the puns come into play. This particular adventure evokes Guards! Guards! and features members of the City Watch.
“In this adventure from the Discworld: Adventures in Ankh-Morpork Quickstart, a number of dragons have been stolen from the Lady Sybil Ramkin Sunshine Sanctuary. But why? What sort of monster could have stolen these little darlings, and for what nefarious purpose?
