Pathfinder’s ‘Triumph of the Tusk Player’s Guide’ Is An Orcstravaganza of New Options
Pathfinder released the free player’s guide to the new Triumph of the Tusk Adventure Path, and it is everything an orc could dream of.
Games Workshop said it better than any other gaming company out there: “Orc(/k)s is da best,” and this is a universal truth. Whether they’re the green space fungus of 40k, the watchers against aberrations in Eberron, or the masters of the Badlands in Pathfinder, orcs pretty much rule.
And the new Triumph of the Tusk player’s guide, which is all about orcs and their struggle with gods during the War of the Immortals, opens a whole new door on a treasure trove of orc-y options. Best of all, it’s a free download that you can snag right now, whether you’re playing in the Adventure Path or not.
Triumph of the Tusk Player’s Guide
While it’s not quite the degree of ‘ere we go ‘ere we go ‘ere we go that distinguished 40k players might be hoping for, Pathfinder’s Triumph of the Tusk players guide does offer up some fun new options in the form of specialized backgrounds and more importantly new gods. In the wake of the War of the Immortals, many orc gods have been slain, and new ones have risen up as mortals challenge the gods.
There’s a lot of turmoil but also opportunity for brave and bold adventurers.
“Belkzen’s gods went through an upheaval when Gorum was killed. Not only was Gorum an important deity to many orcs, but multiple other orc gods were challenged and replaced by mortal souls who rose as new deities. This spate of new gods includes Grask Uldeth, who defeated Zagresh, the god of death and destruction, a transition that has left orcs both wary of and intrigued by these changes to the paradigm. Gods of warfare and strength are the most popular in Belkzen, but some are beginning to turn their eyes toward gods who promise power through other means, such as trade and magic.”
And you can find more details on these new orc gods in the Triumph of the Tusk Player’s Guide, below.
