Take the new ruleset for a spin with a free D&D Beyond adventure: Scions of Elemental Evil. But it’s only claimable for a limited time.

Wizards of the Coast has released a new free adventure on D&D Beyond, Scions of Elemental Evil. Using the latest ruleset, Scions of Elemental Evil is intended to be a quick one-shot adventure set in Greyhawk that gives both the setting and the new rules a chance to shine.

Featuring magic items from the upcoming DMG and stats for a new Incubus and Succubus, this adventure is claimable now for certain users (those who have the right pre-order perks) and will be available to all users (and to Wizards Play Network stores) starting October 29th.

Scions of Elemental Evil on D&D Beyond

Whether you claim it now or later, Scions of Elemental Evil is an adventure set in Greyhawk. It’s the first wave of several “play events” coming in the next several months. These events are intended to celebrate D&D’s 50th anniversary. This means you can expect to see more adventures set elsewhere in D&D’s storied history in the coming months. But for now, it’s all Greyhawk.

This adventure is very much a convention play type of adventure too. This is where you’ll find the grown up D&D cartoon characters. Those characters the pre-generated characters for the adventure. Eeach one is level 4 now, plus Niko, a new character introduced back in Icespire Peak.

These adventurers, known in the new D&D canon as the “Heroes of the Realm” contend with cultists of the Elemental Evil in a short level 4 adventure designed to be played in just one session. Which is, presumably, why you’ll see it at organized play events.

“Benetah the Temple of Elemental Evil lies a labyrinth of tombs and ritual chambers. For years, these dungeons have lain in ruin. Now forsaken souls return, raising an army of evil t destroy the world.

Scions of Elemental Evil is a single-session adventure that spotlights the world of Greyhawk and is compatible with the 2024 Core Rulebooks.”

If you can’t claim it now, check back on October 29th!
