The gang’s back together, this time in London. Comic-Con London announces a D&D Live show featuring four of Baldur’s Gate 3‘s stellar cast.

Astarion, Wyll, Lae’zel and Karlach are getting back together for adventure once again, this time at Comic-Con London. D&D Live is back with a new show featuring the Baldur’s Gate 3 characters. Titled, “What We Do in the Shadow-Cursed Lands” the new adventure promises thrills, chills, and a “special guest Dungeon Master” to be revealed later.

D&D Live: What We Do in the Shadow-Cursed Lands

This marks yet another instance of the D&D Live brand of events that former PR head Greg Tito helped innovate, starting with live games and then moving into digital events during the lockdown part of the pandemic. And it feels like whoever is putting these things together has found their feet.

Because the last D&D Live event was Love is a Legendary Action featuring Neil Newbon and Samantha Beart, aka Astarion and Karlach, as well as Brennan Lee Mulligan, Anjali Bhimani, and DM Aabriya Iyengar. It was a comic romp that was surprisingly horny for an official D&D 50th anniversary event, but it struck a chord.

Now, with its allusion to the excellent vampire comedy, What We Do in the Shadows, whether the original movie or the ongoing series, it feels like D&D Live is ready to lean in to the humorous vibe. Especially with the bantery party they’ve put togehter.

The event will be at MCM Comic-Con London on Sunday, October 27th—though even if you can’t make it out to the con, I’d just bet you’ll be able to catch it later on YouTube. Especially since you can watch the last D&D Live event there, right now.

This event is also notable because it’s the first one to use the new 5.5E ruleset. The last one showed off the Project Sigil virtual tabletop, but this one will take the new rules for a spin. So if you want to see D&D 5.5E in action, it may be worth tuning in!

Happy adventuring!
