Games Workshop has blown the lid off the Battleforces coming to Warhammer 40k and AoS for this holiday season.

It’s been a tradition for Games Workshop to reveal some fantastic new Battleforce Boxes for both 40k and AoS and this year is no different. Check out what’s coming this holiday season:

Warhammer 40,000 Battleforces

Warhammer 40,000 has five Battleforce Boxes coming:

  • T’au Empire – Retaliation Cadre
  • Dark Angels – Inner Circle Task Force
  • Imperial Knights – Valourstrike Lance
  • Adepta Sororitas – Penitent Crusader Host
  • Necron – Hypercrypt Legion

Each box features a good spread of miniatures as well as a main “focal point” miniature or character, too. Additionally, GW did something pretty smart with these boxes as well. They are designed work with the Combat Patrols boxes to really make a solid overall army. There’s a little bit of overlap between them — but in a good way. Additionally, these boxes are also designed to lean into specific detachments within their respective armies.

All I can say is that if you’re looking to jump start any of these armies you might want to grab a Combat Patrol and get ready to expand very soon!

Warhammer: Age of Sigmar Battleforces

For the Age of Sigmar side of the house we’ve got four Battleforces, one from each Grand Alliance.

  • Maggotkin of Nurgle – Shudderblight Cyst
  • Cities of Sigmar – Founding Foray
  • Ironjawz – Wrekkamob
  • Flesh-eater Courts – Charnelgrand Jury

And, again, GW has done the same thing as the 40k boxes for these Battleforces. They are also designed to work with the Spearhead and also designed to work well with battle formations within their respective army. Not much else to say about these other than it’s a good time to buy!

Also coming in 2025…

Gee, I wonder what that could mean…(it means the Emperor’s Children are about to get a new Chaos update is what that means!)
