Warhammer Day: New Warhammer Underworlds Edition Announced
It’s a total reset for Warhammer Underworlds. A new edition is bringing in some major changes to the game and the rules.
Warhammer Underworlds doesn’t just have a new season coming — this time it’s a brand new edition of the game.
The new Core Game box is coming with everything you need to play the new edition.
There’s a new rulebook, new board, dice, and two new Warbands to take to the tabletop.
New Edition, New Rules
But that’s not all — this is a completely new edition of the game.
They have changed the card draw mechanics to make them a bit more forgiving and also tweaked how crits work so they don’t dominate the game.
GW has also updated all the warbands and reclassified them as one of the following types:
Warband types
- Strike
- Flex
- Take and Hold
- Mastery
Any decks and be used with any warband but they might work best when matching them together. Additionally, the cards updated with miniature photos vs art.
The Game also uses a single board setup now and it looks like the two warbands will be getting into the action as soon as turn one.
Each Warband also has a new reference card that shows off their rules and special powers in an easy to reference sheet now. The warband cards have also been redesigned so you can clearly see which model they are refencing and have had their formatting changed, too.
There’s loads more tweaks and changes but we’re going to have to wait to get our hands on this one to find out!
