Warhammer Next Week – Kill Team’s New Edition Starter Set And Friends
Time to catch Kill Team fever. The new edition of Kill Team is here, and with it, a new Starter Set and other friends – next week!
Kill Team kicks off 2024 in a big way. As part of next week’s pre-orders, there’s a brand new starter set, featuring Space Marines and Death Guard and everything else you need to get started with Kill Team. But that’s what you’d expect out of a Kill Team Starter Set.
In addition, you’ll find a host of other Kill Team boxes, with updated datacards ready to roll out with the new edition. So if you’re interested in catching Kill Team fever, next week’s got you covered!
Kill Team: New Edition Starter Set And Company
It all kicks off with the new Kill Team Starter Set box. With 14 miniatures, a battle board, some MDF terrain, counters, dice, rulers, and mre, you’ll find everything you need to jump right into slick skirmishes in the grim darkness of the distant future.
You’ll get two Kill Teams, the Space Marines, pictured above, who bring the Emperor’s Justice wherever they happen to go; and the Death guard, pictured below. They’re blessed by Nurgle with extreme resilience and lots of plagues.
Of course, there’s plenty more Kill Team where that came from. And a whole bevvy of Kill team boxes are releasing along with updated decks of datacards (available separately) full of all the faction rules, equipment, plots, profiles, and so on you need for each team.
The Kasrkin Kill Team box contains a Kill Team of 10 miniatures, which can be bilt as special Kasrkin Operatives, including a Sharpshooter, Medic, and Demo-trooper for all your explosive needs.
The Phobos Strike Team is, as the name suggests, armored in Phobos Armor, which is “built for stealth” which just means it gets you killed faster. But you do get a Saboteur, Helix Adept, and Marksman in this box of ten Space Marines.
If you prefer the heretic typs instead, why not grab a box of Chaos Legionaries. This box of ten has the backing of the dark gods, and can make a Balefire Acolyte, Shrivetalon, and Butcher. Get out there and commit some heresy!
Or do the kind of heresy where you don’t shun the xenos. The Kill Team Pathfinders box comes with 13 miniatures, a ten-Pathfinder Kill Team and three drones. You can make a Drone Controller, Assault Grenadier, and Medical Technician, no communing with the Omnissiah required!
The Inquisitorial Agents are great at rooting out the rampant heresy in the other boxes. In this seven mini boxed set, you’ll get an Interrogator, Death World Veteran, Penal Legionnaire, Hexorcist, and more.
Finally a couple of singular releases. Chaos Lords, who can lead your Heretic Astartes warbands. There’s the regular version, or you can grab one with a Jump Pack:
Though if you prefer something more “heroic” there’s the legendary Inquisitor, Torquemada Coteaz.
Just be careful, you can’t torquemada anything.
All this, next week!
