This one is certainly a Warhammer teaser from Games Workshop. The latest Rumor Engine is bringing the goods with a SKULL!

It’s another Tuesday. There’s a lot going on in the world today. So how about a nice distraction from Games Workshop with a new Rumor Engine!? It’s another case of “I know what that is, but I have no clue as to what that is.” Take a look for yourself!

“We’re turning over a new leaf here at the Rumour Engine department, and that means a brand new approach to your favourite mystery miniatures reveals – giving people exactly what they want. And what do Warhammer fans want more than anything in the world?

SKULLS.”

Skulls For The Fans

This Rumor Engine is clearly a skull. However, it’s also attached to something. It looks like a robe of cloth. Additionally, the skull also appears to be a part of some sort of armor. And are those fangs? This reminds me of the Vampires from the Soulblight Gravelords. Specifically the Blood Knights…

I’m not 100% sure, but the skulls look similar in design with the harsh angles. Also, look at the teeth in particular.

I could easily see this being a new Vampire’s armor or something along those lines. Unfortunately, now that I’ve got that idea in my head it’s hard for me to see anything else! But if I had to guess for a faction on the 40k side of things, I’d go with Nightlords!

This might be a bad example but the shoulder pad has a similar design, too. It’s a skull with the fangs and it’s been molded to fit in as a part of the armor. It’s a long shot but it’s worth exploring, too.

Anyhow, this is where you come in! If you’ve got any theories as to what this could be drop us a line in the comments. This is a tough one as it could be from either the Grimdark of 40k or the Mortal Realms of AoS.

It’s a skull…but who’s wearing it?!
