Goatboy’s Grimdark Armylist: Chaos Daemon “Big Beef”
Goatboy here with a 40K Chaos Daemons list that brings all the big beefy neverborn to the tabletop all at once.
Goatboy here and I am obsessed with playing Warhammer 40K armylists with very few models. I like the idea of coming with a ton of awesome looking kits, trying to win more than I lose, and hopefully wrecking something cool in the process. It doesn’t always work and with my time being very limited on games it can be hard to really “figure” it out super tricksy complex lists. Sure you can just push the beefiest models you won to the middle of the table and have a beef off – but that can only get you so far. This leads me to this mess of a beefy idea that might be fun, and might even work – if I can get the last couple models painted up.

Chaos Daemons Big Beef Tactics
As you can see it is a simple list – you have a bunch of monsters, and only one doesn’t have Feel No Pain. You get a Battleline unit, the Plaguebearers, that makes your backfield objective sticky and stinky. All your guys have round bases so there aren’t any Pivot issues. You also got two special characters to call it a day. It is a simple Chaos Daemons list and while it in no way wins all the games it should win a few.
Do you need to go hold some objectives with a lot of OC? You got it. Do you need to teleport some monsters around the table top too? You got that too. Do you have Shadow of the Warp all over the place to help you become the true Shadow Master of the table top? Probably not?
I am not sure what new stuff would be coming for Chaos Daemons but the index right now is really a bunch of beefy people and maybe a few jerks to hang around. I really wish we could get some of the other stuff to be awesome but who wants to paint a ton of Fiends and other things that are awful to build and get ready for the tabletop.
How to use the Big Beef list? Start Shalaxi in reserves, get ready to deep strike her off of one of your Keepers, and see what things you can come in and grant a ton of damage too. She probably won’t survive the clap back but it will be awesome when she hits, kills a Knight, and stands tall over the wreckage.
