Critical Role launched its own festive holday-themed EP that you can go listen to right now. No really. And it’s good?

All Hallow’s Eve has come and gone. And a terrible new dawn is upon us. She who waits stirs within deep, glacial caverns. And Critical Role launches a Holiday Album. No really.

What’s more… it’s great! Look, Christmas trees have been in the back of Target since August. The “festive season” is upon us. And the Critical Role holiday album Winter’s Crest is available now wherever you stream your music.

The Critical Role Holiday Album You Won’t Be Able To Stop Listening To

I don’t know what it is about Holiday Album. Maybe it’s the yearning for festive comfort. Maybe it’s the fact that the bell player finally gets to shine. But they go much harder than they need to. From Sufjan Stevens to Ariana Grande to Phineas and Ferb, they just carve out new musical territory.

Critical Role seems to be following that tradition with their new EP, Winter’s Crest. The Critical Role Holiday Album has four tracks, which is everything a Critter could hope to find under their non-denominational festive winter season tree.

Tracks include:

  • “Winter’s Crest Festival Time” featuring Matt Mercer as Pumat Sol, the legendary Enchanter
  • “Silent Mind” featuring Laura Bailey as Imogen (and this is the one you are not prepared for)
  • “Twelve Days of Grogmas” with Travis Willingham and Ashley Johnson as Grog and Pike
  • “It’s Critmas” featuring the whole gang, including Taliesin Jaffe, Liam O’Brien, Marisha Ray, and Sam Riegel

Seriously, if you are looking for a cozy escape (and who isn’t today), check the album out now, wherever you stream your music.

And don’t forget the true meaning of Winter’s Crest!
