Oath of the Dragon Samurai: Karakuri Red

A string of violent murders has plummeted Sakurake’s entertainment district into chaos. The local police found themselves forced to put the district under lockdown, and offer a hefty sum to any who’d wish to put their lives on the line to aid the investigation. Will you stop the Sakurake murders, or become the next victim? Play and find out, in this unique one-shot for 5e!

Karakuri Red is compatible with 5e and 2024 rules, and it can be played as a short, solo module with a brand new group, or as a follow-up to previous Oath of the Samurai adventures. The adventure takes the party to the Yato region’s capital of Sakurake where they work together to investigate and stop a string of murders—most of which are connected to the characters’ backstories in some way. Hooks and guidelines are provided, but as always, nothing is too sacred to tamper with and a GM may adapt this module to best fit their table’s needs!

Potential Harm

Potential Harm System for 5E: Streamline your combat experience in D&D 5th Edition with the Potential Harm System! By replacing traditional hit points with Threat Points, this innovative system simplifies damage tracking and enhances narrative depth, allowing DMs to focus on storytelling and maintain an engaging combat flow. Perfect for DMs who want faster, more immersive battles while keeping the excitement alive for their players.

The Necromancer

Step into the shadows with The Necromancer, a 5e (2024) subclass for Wizards who delve into the mysteries of life, death, and the dark magic in between. Embrace forbidden arts with new features like Necromantic Savant for spell enhancements, Grave Familiar for conjuring bone-chilling familiars, and Blood Sacrifice to empower your undead allies with your own vitality. At higher levels, secure your legacy by binding undead minions to your will… forever.

Equip yourself with two new powerful magic items: the Blindfold of Alaris, a sinister blindfold granting heightened spell control and unique boosts for your undead, and The Grimoire of Émelir Noircerix, a cursed tome teeming with dark arcane secrets.

Dark Clouds Over Castle Talbot

The Lord and Lady Talbot are the last of their line, wealthy owners of a remote but productive silver mine. Over the past decade or so, things have changed. The Talbots have become reclusive, packs of wolves howl throughout the nights, and people have vanished without a trace.

The Talbots hide dark secrets. Approximately twenty years ago, Lady Talbot was cursed with lycanthropy and subsequently cured with a simple remove curse spell. Unknown to her at the time, she was newly pregnant with triplets. The remove curse spell did not convey to the triplets, and all three of her children were tragically born with the curse of lycanthropy.

Only a wish spell could cure them, and the Talbots, although quite wealthy, were not wealthy enough to pay for three castings of wish. Lady Talbot’s grief consumed her, driving her to seek the aid of dark powers in a futile effort to bring the children back. Her single minded pursuit of a cure for her three children led her to make pacts with dark powers. Lady Talbot was betrayed by those powers and transformed into a ferocious and bloodthirsty vampire-like creature called a nosferatu. Lord Talbot’s mind broke when he saw his wife’s vile new form. He used his alchemical skills in a twisted effort to make “children” who would be immune to lycanthropy forever.
