‘Warhammer 40K: Darktide’ Comes To The PS5 In December
Get ready to rise up against the forces of Chaos on the PS5, as the long-awaited Warhammer 40K: Darktide arrives in December.
The war-torn planet of Tertium needs you, Rejects! PlayStation 5 players were treated to a glimpse of the coming glory that waits for them today. Warhammer 40K: Darktide released the PS5 launch trailer today, with an updated release date: December 3rd.
This means that soon, you’ll be able to fight for the Emperor no matter what platform you play on. But the Emperor Protects; he doesn’t jabber, so let’s look at the trailer.
Warhammer 40K Darktide Comes To The PS5
This is, of course, the perfect time to jump in. Not long ago, Darktide players underwent a complete overhaul of their talents and progression. Now, PS5 players will have the option to jump in right as the ground is steady. Relatively steady, that is. There are still a few bugs to work out.
But by and large, player sentiment is positive for the state of the game. The gunplay, the progression, and especially the hordes of enemies you’ll cleave through are all quite fun. And you’ll be in the game just in time for whatever winter event comes around this year.
If you’re totally unfamiliar with the game, you are in for a treat. But here’s what you can expect in a nutshell. Darktide is a “horde shooter”. You squad up with up to four of your mates. Each of you picks a class: Zealot, Veteran, Psyker, and the beefy Ogryn. Each of these has its own playstyle and progression path.
As you play, you’ll unlock different weapons and perks/abilities/talents for both your character and your weapons so you can hew through hordes of enemies in the Emperor’s name. It’s an absolute blast, check it out, December 3rd!
