Games Workshop dropped some massive reveals for the Craftworld Aeldari at the World Championships. It’s time to get hyped for these plastics!

In case you missed the news, there are a BUNCH of new plastic kit updates coming to the Craftworld Aeldari. We’ve got new plastic Phoenix Lords for Asurmen, Baharroth, and (for the first time ever) Lhykis the Warp Spider Phoenix Lord.

Along with these kits, we’re also getting new plastic Fire Dragons, Swooping Hawks, and Warp Spiders. It’s an awesome time to be a fan of the Craftworld Aeldari!

Don’t forget Fuegan also showed up in plastic a little while ago, too. So if you’re counting at home that’s four plastic Phoenix Lords confirmed for the new Craftworld Aeldari coming in 2025.

…And Then There Was One?

Of all the Phoenix Lords we’ve had as metal characters in the past Eldar Range, at this point, we’re only missing one in plastic. And that’s Karandras the Phoenix Lord of the Striking Scorpions.

This is a little odd considering we got the Striking Scorpions as a Kill Team a while ago already.

Technically, Karandras is current MIA in the story line. So maybe that’s why GW hasn’t created a plastic version of him…yet. That said, with those miniatures and a plastic Karandras, the Aeldari are basically done when it comes to parity of their Aspect Warriors and Phoenix Lords. You could make the case that the Dire Avengers need a new plastic kit. But I don’t think we’re in as dire need of new ones.

Their kit isn’t too far but I also wouldn’t complain about getting new Dire Avengers either. Oh and I know that if I don’t bring this up someone in the comments likely will. Drastanta is the Phoenix Lord of the Shining Spears. He’s currently also missing and it’s unclear if he will return.

So yeah, there’s still a pair of Phoenix Lords missing. And I’m not counting Irillyth or the Shadow Specters. Again, when looking back at the OG six metal Phoenix Lords, the only one that hasn’t gotten the plastic treatment is now Karandras.

Warhammer 40,000 In 2025

I know that it’s been pretty lean on good news in the 40k community for a bit. This past Summer basically left a drought when it came to 40k releases. Hopefully all that non-40k downtime was just GW “reloading and refreshing” for 2025. It sure seems like they’ve got a ton of stuff in the pipeline. Between the plastic Death Korps of Krieg news and the Plastic Craftworld Aeldari, I think it’s officially time to get hype for 2025’s releases!
