The new edition of Kill Team has been out in the wild for a few months and now it’s getting it’s first core update.

Games Workshop is committed to keeping the new edition of Kill Team up-to-date and as best balanced as they can. They have plans to update the game every three months. Well, that first quarterly update is out now and you can download it for yourself.

“The new edition of Kill Team has been out for a few weeks now, with thousands of games played and loads of community feedback coming in about the streamlined rules, kill teams, and new mission packs. As you may remember from when the game was first announced, the Kill Team designers are committed to giving it a firm balance pass every three months, and as we’re rapidly approaching the first milestone it’s time to take a look at November’s quarterly update. “

Kill Team’s First Quarterly Update

For the most part, this one’s a pretty smooth update. The core game isn’t really getting a ton of work with mostly minor fixes. Games Workshop doesn’t want to rock the boat too hard before the major tournament this month at the World Championships of Warhammer. That said, many of the available Kill Teams did get some sort of an update. Be sure to download you new Kill Team rules for your respective team.

There’s more free updates and downloads directly from Games Workshop on their downloads page.

Additionally, there’s also a free batch of missions you can download for the new Joint Ops mode.

“But that’s not all – if you’re looking for new challenges, a series of brand new missions using the Joint Ops rules is also available for download. Like other Joint Ops, the Deadly Sniper mission pack pits one or two players against a horde of NPOs – Non-Player Operatives – whose actions are controlled by a tight set of behaviours that dictate where they move and when they attack.”

Personally, I think a Vindicare Assassin miniature is pretty fitting for this particular set of scenarios. Then again…

Snipers come in all shapes and sizes. If you’re brave enough you can tackle these missions solo. Or you can bring a friend! That’s the beauty of the Joint Ops.
