Games Workshop is spreading some holiday cheer, Red Gobbo style! Check out these two free scenarios you can play right now for 40k and AoS!

If you’re looking to blow off some steam or maybe just blow stuff up then you should give Da Red Gobbo’s scenarios a shot. There’s a pair of them featuring the commemorative miniature. Let’s be honest… you could really use anything for Da A-Bomb-inable Snowman. But what’s fun in that!?

“Under threat of detonation, the rules-wranglers in the Warhammer Design Studio have penned two explosive scenarios featuring Da Red Gobbo – one for Warhammer 40,000 and one for Warhammer Age of Sigmar. Just how has he arrived in the Mortal Realms? We don’t know. You’re more than welcome to ask him, but has a big bag of bombs, so we didn’t fancy pushing the point. “

Warhammer: Age of Sigmar – Red Gobbo Battleplan

This one’s pretty straight forward. Basically, players will need to contest the “Winter Terrain Feature” to find the Red Gobbo. He counts as a token that the friendly unit controls and stays with that unit. The winner is the player with the Red Gobbo in their possession at the end of the game. It’s a 5 round game, too. Good luck finding Da Red Gobbo — and holding him!

This one is a bit more complicated. It’s recommended to have at least one Ork army as well. There’s more happening with the mission but the basics are this: The Objectives can explode!

Scoring has a twist with it as well. The attackers get 2vp for each Objective Marker that is wholly within 6″ of their opponent’s Deployment Zone. They can also score 1 VP for each other objective wholly within 12″ of their opponent’s deployment zone. For the Defender, they get 1 VP for each objective marker that was removed by any means. And of course, Da Red Gobbo’s A-Bomb-inable Snowman has some rules, too.

While I don’t think these are meant to be play super competitively I think they could be fun. There’s a fair bit of randomness to them and explosions are always fun, right? So take a break and join the Grot Revolution. The missions are free if you want to give them a go.
