Warhammer 40K: Which Fulgrim Did It Better?

Games Workshop has unveiled the long awaited Daemon Prince Primarch Fulgrim in plastic. But which version of the Emperor’s Children Primarch did it best?

I have a funny feeling that 2025 is going to be a banger year for Chaos. Especially in 40k. The Emperor’s Children are about to get some awesome new kits and will finally get their Primarch in plastic. However, that’s not the only version of him to hit the tabletop.

Clearly, I’m the best Fulgrim miniature.

In fact there’s been two other versions of the Primarch to grace the tabletop. Above we have the OG Horus Heresy version. It’s Pre-Daemon Prince power-up however. This one was also cast in resin and had quite the scenic base to match.

Then we’ve got the next version, post-Daemon Prince Power-up. And I remember the stir this reveal caused, too…

I can’t help but be the BEST version of Fulgrim.

I remember that 2023 teaser-trailer and how the reveal didn’t quite have any obvious nods that it was for the Horus Heresy. That was until we got the screenshots from above to confirm it was for the Horus Heresy. What a time to have the chat open…

Anyhow, this one was also cast in resin. Those wings really take up some airspace! But that was then. Fast Forward to two days ago and we got this reveal.

Along with that we get the new plastic version of Fulgrim in all his glory:

After 10,000 years in the warp I’m clearly the best version of Fulgrim!

There’s obviously some similarities between the resin version and this one. But there are also some major differences. Fulgrim appears to have added some more armored bits. But I guess 10,000 years in the warp can do that to you. He also appears to be more coiled-up and in an “I’m about to pounce” sort of pose.

Who’s the Best Fulgrim?

I don’t know if it’s better. I certainly don’t think it’s worse. The pose is just different. And I think that’s overall a good thing. Personally, I haven’t decided if I have a favorite yet…but I also haven’t seen the plastic kit in person either. That said, I’m afraid I have to give the plastic version some bonus points for being in plastic. If you like resin that’s cool — I’m just not a fan of it as a material to work with. It’s really a personal preference.

Anyhow, I’m going to leave it here with a question: Which version of Fulgrim do you think did it best? Let us know what you think in the comments!

Someone better warn Guilliman and the Lion…they are gonna need some back-up.
