Age of Sigmar: The Gitmob Rides To War
The Gloomspite Gitz are getting some help from their sun-seeking kin. The Gitmob is ready to ride in Warhammer: Age of Sigmar!
There’s a new facet of the Gloomspite Gitz coming to the tabletop. Games Workshop has been hinting at them for a while so it wasn’t a complete shock when the Gitmob was re-introduced. These wolf-riding, sun-hunting Gitz are taking the fight out of the caves and into the great outdoors. Today, we’re getting a taste of their rules as well.
Despite their twisted love-and-hate relationship with the sun, the Gitmob are still grots through and through, and remain in thrall to the whims of the Bad Moon. Where these sunbaked grots differ most from their cave-dwelling kin is through their use of magics designed to suck up the power of Hysh – a far cry from the damp spells of the Moonclan.
Gitmob Rules Preview
First up we have Da Frazzlefangz rule. This comes thanks to Droggz Da Sunchompa who leads the Gitmob. This allow him to get the drop on his enemies. It causes enemy units within 6″ of him to be unable to use the All-out Attack command. Additionally, it also causes -1 to hit rolls for enemy units attacking him.
We also get a look at another of his abilties with Rip’em Ta Bits. This basically allows him to nominate another Gitmob unit within combat rage to get an immediate Fight action. Nothing quite like double-tapping a unit out of sequence!
Just be mindful if you’re thinking of using this with the Snarlpack Cavalry. If you get your charges done correctly, you won’t need to. That’s because if they charge then they gain Strike-First for the rest of the turn.
One unit that you can perfectly setup for a charge followed-up by a Rip’em To Bits order is the Sunsteala Wheelas. Now, they aren’t exactly thrilled to dive into combat as they are better at keeping their distance. However, if you’re looking to dogpile an enemy unit, you might as well bring them in — after they’ve dealt some damage to soften them up!
If I’m reading this correctly you could have the Sunsteala Wheelas roll-up, smash into a unit, end up out of combat range, plink away, and then charge in. And then Drogg can order them to swing, too. That seems like some solid potential damage if you manage to pull it all off.
The Gitmob is coming soon. Are ready to be blinded by the light!?
The Snarlpack brings all the dogpile tactics you could want!
