Age of Sigmar: The ‘Not Road Map’ & Future Releases
The Las Vegas Open showed off a ton of previews as well as a new image teasing the future of Warhammer: Age of Sigmar.
We got to see all the new Soulblight Gravelords coming soon to AoS during the LVO Preview show. But there’s even more on the way. It’s not just skeletal undead coming to the tabletop in the future for AoS. We also have some teasers at things on the horizon, too.
And the Soulblight Gravelords aren’t the only upcoming release for Warhammer Age of Sigmar. Here’s a glimpse of things to come…
Warhammer: Age of Sigmar – The Now
At our current spot on the timeline here we can see what’s here/about to arrive. We’ve got the following releases:
- Orruk Warclans
- Gloomspite Gitz
- Soulblight Gravelords (just revealed)
- Ravaged Coast – Path To Glory
I don’t think we need to go over all those again. We’ve seen the previews and covered all the releases as they’ve been rolling out. I’m sure we’ll get into the Soulblight and Path to Glory as those get closer, too.
Coming Next
As for the next batch of releases we now know what to expect:
- Idoneth Deepkin
- Nighthaunt
So we’ve got the soulless ones from the deep and the wandering souls from the night all coming next. I’ll be curious to see what new models both of those factions are going to get down the road. Personally, I also have a Nighthaunt Army so I’d be curious to see how that one will function in the future.
On The Horizon
GW gave us a look at these three images to let us guess what’s next. I have some thoughts.
The first image is a bunch of Skulls and a not-so subtle mark of Khorne. I’m going to say it’s a safe bet that the Blades of Khorne are on the way.
That icon on his back is literally the same image…
The second image looks like it’s some sort of air-ship — something akin to the Kharadron Overlords. But what’s up with the bats in the background? Not sure.
Oh hey, look at that. It’s the same image from the Special Edition cover of the Kharadon Overlords battletome!
Now on to the last image. And I’ll be honest, this one has me stumped. We’ve got a wing with some tears on it. Plus it’s got some nasty looking barbs coming out of it. That makes me think it’s a dragon or daemon. It’s not going to be Slaves to Darkness (we just got that Battletome). I also thought that maybe it’s Daughters of Khaine? But I can’t find any reference art for that either.

Final Teaser
GW also dropped this image from “The Future” which looks like a pair of eyes. I’m not 100% sure if those are actually eyes or if someone on the art team is just messing with us. I’m not sure what we’re looking at but I can’t wait for this reveal!
