The Orruks Warclans are up for Pre-Order this weekend. We’ve got the new miniatures in the studio so come take a look at them up close!

Brutal and Cunnin’ the Orruk Warclans are on the march. The two halves of their new Battletome are bringing changes to the tabletop. And we’re not just talking about rules updates. There’s new miniatures to behold and we’ve got them built! Let’s take a look at the new wave.

Hobgrot Slittaboss

The new Hobgrot Slittaboss allows for a unit of Hobgrots to take it to the enemy immediately after he goes which is a nice rule. It’s also a great reason to field this new miniature. Personally, I think he’s got a bit of a “come at me, bro” attitude going on. He might not be the biggest but I still wouldn’t want to mess with him in a dark alley. Especially if there’s some Hobgrots to follow-up with.

Miniature-wise, there’s a couple different head swaps. We opted for the helmet-less option. That’s nice just incase you ever get a wild idea and want to build an entire Hobgrot army.

Manifestations of the Orruk Warclans

The Orruks also got miniatures for their manifestations which is really exciting. Let’s tackle each of them.

Gorka-Roara

This is the new Gorka-Roara. It’s a cool design and in game it also supercharges your wizards and priests. I do like the theme they went with for this Manifestation.

Foot of Gork

It’s a classic for a reason! Now we’ve got some super cool miniatures for this iconic Orruk spell. Personally, I just really like the take that GW has gone with this one. The rules also match the theme and you have to keep these two within 9″ of each other. Gork’s Foot is walking after all!

Morkspit Marsh

The final manifestation is the Morkspit Marsh. As the name implies this is a Morkish spell and it’s got some nasty side effects. I like the poor soul that’s been sculpted in the marsh. It’s kind of like a warning sign: Don’t touch, don’t drink, and for the love of Sigmar, don’t go swimming.

Bossrock Tower

The Bossrock Tower is perhaps one of my favorite terrain pieces for factions. I wrote up a whole thing about why. It’s thematic, useful for the army, and it’s a terrain feature that you can actually play around. Another cool factor is the Bossrock can also be built as a Skaregob Totem. Both of which have their uses. Either way, I’m hoping to see more of these Orruk towers on the tabletop!
