This week’s 5E-compatible RPGs include Nocturnal Horrors, Aethereal Pirates, encounters from Beyond the Horizon, and more.

It’s time to roll the dice on new releases! Come check out this week’s batch of brand-new 5E compatible tabletop role-playing games.

Beyond the Horizon

Welcome to “Beyond the Horizon,” an exploration and mystery adventure compatible with 5e. Set off on a quest to slay a beast that takes a turn for the worse, as the players find themselves in an alien world, unable to escape until they confront the true reason they are there.

The adventure begins in the quiet seaside town of Dalry, where reports of a massive, unnatural sea creature attacking ships have left the docks abandoned and the townsfolk desperate for aid. Turning to the adventurers, the town believes that with their skill and a sturdy vessel, the menace can be eliminated. The task seems simple—find the beast, defeat it, and restore peace to the region.

But the encounter takes a surreal turn when, just as the adventurers deliver what should be the final blow to the creature, the sea erupts into chaos. A massive magical whirlpool forms without warning, dragging the ship and its crew into its violent core. When the adventurers awaken, they find themselves washed ashore on a serene beach, surrounded by impossibly clear waters, calm skies, and lush, alien vegetation.

As they explore, they discover a shocking truth—the creature they fought may not have been a mere beast, but part of a much larger mystery. To escape this strange realm, they must uncover its secrets and confront the true reason they were brought here.

What sets this adventure apart is its status as a complete and detailed one-shot, designed to last 5–6 hours. It requires minimal preparation, featuring comprehensive GM notes, narrations, stat blocks, rewards, and high-quality battle maps.
