‘Critical Role’s Campaign 3 Finale Ties A Ribbon On 10 Years Of Exandria
Critical Role has a date for the grand finale of Campaign 3 (and a decade’s worth of buildup) – you won’t want to miss it.
Critical Role celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. What a meteoric rise it has been. From a livestreamed show on Geek & Sundry to one of the top earners on Twitch, to one of the biggest Kickstarters ever, and two different animated series in the works. To say nothing of Critical Role’s independent publishing arm, which has produced its own RPGs and expanded the world of Exandria.
Exandria swims into the spotlight soon. Next Thursday is the grand finale of Campaign 3. According to a State of the Role post, February 6th will mark the end of Campaign 3. It also wraps up ten years of storytelling in an epic finale. So they say.
Critical Role – Campaign 3 Finale Coming February 6th
This finale marks a huge milestone for Critical Role. And the finale episode is bigger than ever, clocking in at over eight hours, which is literally a workday for many people. You could watch most of the Lord of the Rings trilogy in that time. Not the extended editions, mind you. You’d still have Return of the King to get through, which ain’t bad. There are certainly worse ways to spend a day, but you’ll want to plan for it.
10 years, 3 campaigns, and hundreds of episodes. An epic for the ages deserves an epic final stream! Join our founding cast, friends, and crew for a special LIVE celebratory pre-show leading into our Bells Hells finale. Bring all of your questions, comments, and feels to the chat, as we hang out together & answer your questions!
Fair warning, dear Critters – we have crushed our previous livestream record as our finale episode of Bells Hells clocks in at over eight hours. Buckle in, grab some snacks, water, and your friends, and let’s see how 10 years of cumulative storytelling will meet its EPIC conclusion!
After that, there is another Exandria Unlimited miniseries starting on February 13th. This will be DMd by Brennan Lee Mulligan and will feature a four-part short campaign as the Prime Deities construct the Divine Gate in the wake of the Calamity.
Of course, all this talk of a “conclusion” raises the question of what comes next. Critical Role has released its own fantasy RPG. They have certainly covered much ground in Exandria. Will they be leaving the world behind? Will they find a new paradigm? Have new faces at the table? At least some of your questions will be answered on March 13th, when Critical Role broadcasts its Exandria Wrap-Up event.
Exandria Wrap-Up
On March 13th, after the Exandria Unlimited miniseries runs its course, Critical Role will feature a big Q&A panel covering “questions and topics from all three of our main campaigns, as well as each of our Exandria Unlimited installments.”
As for what comes afterward, Critical Role says there will be more news in the coming months:
It’s an inexplicable honor to be able to have the opportunity to create this world and tell these stories together for the past ten years. You are a huge part of the motivation to do what we do and we are stronger because of your support.
We’re already hard at work creating the next thing that will drop on our content channels and will have another update for you in the coming months.
And of, course, don’t miss the Critical Role charity one shot benefitting LA wildfire recovery efforts, which airs tonight.
I guess soon we’ll find out just how Critical Role wants to do this.
