Critical Role announced a new live show to benefit those affected by the LA Wildfires. And it’s THIS Thursday.

Critical Role just announced a live and interactive charity one shot stream to raise money to aid in the wildfire recovery efforts in Los Angeles. The one shot will feature an interactive component as part of its fundraising drive, and will benefit three organizations dedicated to helping LA recover: The California Community Foundation, the Los Angeles Fire Department, and the Latino Community Foundation.

The live show, titled “Freaky Thursday” will feature Bells Hells, the group of campaign 3, and, if the goals on Critical Role‘s Tiltify page are anything to go by, this one shot is going to be the best kind of chaotic mess. Especially since fans can help influence the show.

Let’s take a look!

Critical Role‘s “Freaky Thursday” For LA Wildfire Relief – Thursday Jan 30th

Critical Role is moving extremely swift to rally their fanbase. In a time of widespread devastation, it feels good to see a community come together like this. Through Critical Role’s nonprofit arm, the Critical Role Foundation, the D&D streaming behemoth, or streamhemoth (we’ll see if streamhemoth catches on or if this is just another “Fetch” situation), has already raised more than $20,000 for relief at press time.

And, thanks to its emergency fund (more on this in just a sec), the Critical Role Foundation has already delivered $30,000 to the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund, giving immediate support to those most affected.

This Thursday, January 30th, Critical Role will host “a chaotic and interactive one-shot charity livestream”, featuring Bells Hells in a brand new situation. Fans can donate to the Tiltify page, where you can find different ways of reshaping the story. These range from overall fundraising total milestones, which can include “unleashing a deadly monster” or “player characters swap bodies to the right” when certain goals are hit, to outright direct rewards like “submit an NPC” to be performed in the one shot by none other than Matt Mercer.

The campaign will benefit three organizations, as well as the Critical Role Emergency fund as follows:

The Critical Role Foundation is dedicated to leaving the world better than we found it. We are raising money to be donated to 3 charities helping with fire recovery: The California Community Foundation, The Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, and The Latino Community Foundation. Donations will be split equally bbetween all three organizations, outside of our 10% emergency fund allocation and any admin fees.

When it comes to the wildfire recovery efforts, Critical Role wants to know: how do you wanna do this?
