Games Workshop Rumor Engine: Book Recommendation
Games Workshop has a new Rumor Engine for Warhammer out this week. It’s time to curl up with a book and get reading.
On Tuesdays I look forward to getting a new Rumor Engine and trying to figure out what it could be. Well, this Tuesday is no different! Games Workshop has a neat little Rumor Engine for us to mull over. And I’m pretty sure it’s book related…
A book is a window to another world, or so they say. The trouble is, when it comes to Warhammer, other worlds are real and they inevitably contain a multitude of inconceivable evil, which is why you gotta wear gloves and keep them firmly closed.
Rumor Engine – Book Recommendation
So what do we have here? Well…it’s a book. That book is being held by someone wearing gloves. That’s pretty much all we have to go on. For me, my first thought is Witch Hunters.
“Hey, there’s no books in their hands!” Yes. I know. But they are wearing gloves. Also, back in the day, Witch Hunters in Warhammer had books they would carry as well. Many of them were for fighting off daemons or evil magic users. I could easily this image as one hand while the other holds a pistol or sword (or torch).
Alternatively, on the 40k side of things, Librarians! Let’s not forget that some of their models in the past have worn gloves and they tend to have a good book or two around…
But realistically, this image could be a LOT of different things. Or rather, could be from a LOT of different factions. I think we can rule out Necrons, Tyranids, and Orks though. Oh and probably not any Daemons. I also doubt it’s chaos-related — not enough spikes.
So here’s where you come in. If you’ve got any theories please share them with the rest of us! I’m curious to know what you think this Rumor Engine could be!
