‘Legacy Of Kain’ To Get Its Own RPG – Crowdfunding Now
Legacy of Kain, the classic vampire video game, will be getting its own tabletop RPG. It’s available now on BackerKit.
Legacy of Kain is a beloved video game series. Soul reaving wraiths, badass vampires, and a world in decay. What’s not to love? It was one of the all-time greats of 1996 and 1999. Both introduced a very dark fantasy-type world with brooding anti-heroes at the helm.
Now, British publisher/design studio Lost in Cult has a BackerKit campaign to explore the world of Nosgoth in two different books: a Legacy of Kain encyclopedia and a Legacy of Kain tabletop role-playing game. The campaign was already successful within its first day, having raised almost eight times its original goal.
Legacy of Kain RPG on Backerkit
This campaign will fund two books: Legacy of Kain: The Bok of Nosgoth, which will serve as the official encyclopedia/world guide to the gothic fantasy world that inspired a dozen others. Gathering info on Legacy of Kain’s “epic lore and thirty-year history,” this book will tell you all those fun little details you might need to know.
Especially if you’re exploring that world in a roleplaying game, that’s where Legacy of Kain: Scourge of the Sarafan comes in. This “brutal and bloody” tabletop roleplaying game will take you into the Nosgoth before the events of the first game in the series.
“Lose yourselfin Legacy of Kain: Scourge of the Sarafan, a gothic tabletop roleplaying game set in the grim and murky world of Nosgoth. A land of frozen lakes, bitter mountains, and deep, sunless forests. Embody the warrior-priests f the Sarafan Brotherhood, an order of vampire hunters who fight tirelessly in great crusade to keep the human population of Nosgoth safe from the growing vampire scourge.
The game will use the MORK BORG ruleset to create its dark and “high-lethality” atmosphere. It will come with six playable character classes, special Sarafan weapons and spells, and of course, plenty of monsters to fight. You can check out more about both books at the campaign below!
